Here's my tutorials and parts lists that I've made.
This is a tutorial I made specifically for programming the KK board. This can be the "trickiest" part to getting the quadcopter flying, and this manual will hopefully help a lot.
The complete tutorial mainly involving the individual components. Also has a complete parts list attached with the links to where the parts are available.
The completed parts list is here with as cheap of parts that I could find. None of these prices include shipping, but overall the total quadcopter with absolutely everything included comes out to less than $250.
Obviously I will have to take down the other links when the competition comes around, but based on what part of the competition the school will be partaking in and the age group will depend on what parts list they get. This list would probably be for high school students as that it has things that are purposefully left out of the list to give us some variety in the quadcopters.
This list is the complete kit for a micro-quad. Most of it is assembled right out of the box so the only tricky part is setting up the control board and getting the radio connected correctly.
