Useful Links-

These are the links that I would recommend using for building your own multicopter or just for researching the material. If you've never used RC equipment before, then I would suggest starting with my tutorial on the Tutorial page.

This is the ultimate one stop website as far as learning about RC multicopters and first person video setups. David is incredible when it comes to making tutorials. He includes step-by-step pictures with explanations to help you along. This is the place where I learned what I needed initially to build my first quadcopter.

I found these guys on YouTube because of all of there great reviews that they were doing on various remote control planes. Recently they started there own website that has a ton of information and forums now that have a lot of different topics including multicopters

This is just another forum that is really helpful. If you type in on a Google search a question that you're having with something RC then more than likely there will be an answer here. Also a guy on there has programmed a lot of new firmware for the control boards and he describes how to set them up, so the cheap KK boards from HobbyKing can be reprogrammed to be really good.

Almost all of my parts for my quadcopters have come from HobbyKing. They are really cheap and have a wide selection of materials, but more importantly, they're very cheap. So far, I haven't had anything that was terrible from them, so even though they are cheap, a lot of the materials are actually really high quality. Especially when it comes to Turnigy's batteries. I haven't found a better battery on the market that is any where close to their prices.

I really like this site because they carry a lot higher quality RC components and they're US based. I got my controller here which was expensive, but was totally worth it. I crashed my first quadcopter three seperate times due to just radio interference so for me when I am flying around people, it makes me feel a lot safer knowing I have a solid signal going to the aircraft.
