SLU Quadcopter
The Beginnings of the Quadcopter-
As you can see, the first three frames that I built were wooden. I used poplar and birch plywood that was just wood glued together which worked great. I got this main idea from a guy that made his own "El Cheapo Home Depot" frame.

I used 1/8 inch birch plywood for the base. It worked out great. And then for the arms I just used 1/2 inch square dowels.

The legs didn't last long...

Radio interference led to this day ending with a flipped over quadcopter and two broken props... But it was a good learning experience. I couldn't really fly it that day because I had a couple of the gyros reversed.

The next day, I corrected the gyros and replaced the props and decided to have the first test flight in my dorm hallway.
